Have you tried widening the field on the report that is displaying the asterisks? VFP uses GDI/GDI+ and the printer driver to determine how it renders fonts and the width of the fields it things it needs. It's possible there is some slight difference between machines. If widening the fields makes the problem go away, you know that it was probably related to this.
