This is not such a bad alternative as one of the things it does is allow multimedia independence if you will. Then it doesn't matter if the images/videos are pcx, jpg, gif, bmp, avi, flc, mov, wav etc., if your browser can view it or have a plugin that views it, you can use it.

Just a thought.

What I do in my apps is have a table with the names of the pictures/videos etc. Then use code to generate an htm page from the table. Then use the browser to display a htm table with links to each item. Works great.
