I still like tables for some things, they're simple and easier for storing numerics, dates, memos, etc. (and just think if everyone continues to write everything to registry, the size trouble that can occur). However, what you wish for is fact here now at my agency. We write registry copies at startup/shutdown to user's private net mail directory. Then when you logon elsewhere in agency, you get your own registry settings (provided software exists) on new machine. It's really pretty neat...
