Unless your app uses some sort of packet driver software (extremely unusual) the network specialist? is out of his depth. It is more like they have set the workstations up for jumbo packets and some other device (server, switch or router) can't handle the packet size.
It took me 5 minutes before I could get up off the floor laughing when I read the net specialists ?? comments, must admit it is the best one I have seen in quite a while.
