There's a wwhelp.config file that contains the recent list.

You can find the file in:

C:\Users\rstrahl\Documents\Html Help Builder Projects\wwhelp.config

Look for the < recentlist > key and remove any items you don't want or clear the entire key.

I've added a fix to Help Builder now that will check for file existance before adding a file to the recent list. It'll be in the next build.
