>>Sorry, the quota for ultra-conservative, unscientific, reality-denying, bible-thumpers from Texas has been met. The only thing that separates Perry from Bush is that I don't think Perry was a draft-dodging, drug-addled, alcoholic before becoming governor of Texas.

Hah! Nope, I just think Bush was a stooge. He proclaimed to be small government and then he increased the size of the government. He was for fiscal responsibility then he passed tax cuts on to me without paying for them with budget cuts.

I'm for low taxes, small government, limited government intervention, reduced regulations, etc., etc. I'm also for gay rights, drug legalization, protecting the environment and I think capital punishment should be banned.

Here's an unpopular opinion of mine: I think if people want the government to provide their health care then the government should get to choose what goes in their mouths too. Our obesity epidemic is going to cost us more than all other calamities and wars combined.

I don't like a lot of Obama's policies but it's damn nice to have someone smarter than me in the White House.

Thanks for asking!

Hey John, what do you think about Ron Paul? Personally, I like a lot of his ideas:
