>>Maybe this is the modern day "Where were you when Kennedy was shot?" Where were you when you first heard about the attacks, and what happened in your life in the days afterward?

>I was not born yet when Kennedy was shot.

>I was at a client, installing some hard and software when I heard that an airplane flew into one of the twin towers. One of my colleages and a few friends were just a few blocks away in a conference center. They have experienced the total confusion and disbelieve. They had a very rough time the few days after as they could not fly back home to Canada and had to rent and share a car to get back home safely.
You are younger than I thought. I do remember the day JFK was shot, although dimly. I was in first grade and we were sent home from school early because the President had been shot. It was a Friday. I didn't completely understand it. The thing I remember most vividly was how incensed my father was when he got home from work, even though he hadn't even voted for Kennedy. (Obama was the first Democrat he ever voted for). "They should hang him by his thumbs!" he said of Oswald. The next day, Jack Ruby more or less gave him his wish.
