Hi Tore:

I thank you very much for your reply. That's why I wrote: "no CR suffix and with lost manuals or they can't be located"

Imagine the situation, dear friend, a new client who has one or more PCs and its respective readers as you say.

I don't know if you lived something like this. No internet, clients of my client with loinclothes and feathers. You answer:

- Have you got this' scanner manual?

- A manual was carried with this scanner? Hey! Tore, do you remember if this scanner brought a manual or any kind of book with it? No? It came with nothing...

That's why I programmed in Clipper so that I could know how many CRs has the reader. Most with 1, a few with 2 and a few with none. It was easy. I thought VFP would be easier but I was wrong.

I don't visit all my clients, figure I tell them: "It is your problem. Get the reader's manual or die".

And the worst. Suppose they have the manual. I don't know a reader's manual with different languages but English. It's unfair but you could tell me "You shouldn't dedicate to programming if you can't read English".

Could you say "You shouldn't sell cookies, bread and sodas if you can't speak English"?

Thank you very much.

Héctor
