>I understand your favor for a businessperson. But what sort of businessperson? Big Business has demonstrated that it will happily export more jobs to shave a few more pennies for dividend. A market purist would say that this is exactly what they are supposed to do. In which case your own references to insanity should apply if we are concerned about opportunities for youth which used to be implicit in a developed society. Looking forward, *small* business seems more likely to provide new jobs and economic activity in communities. Check the stats and you will see that I am right. We are of course referring to the same small business being squeezed by the Walmarts of every industry who are the only ones able to afford power under your recipe.

givernment spending has been a standard mechanism to drive employment and inject enthusiasm into a struggling economy. If it isn't working, surely the next step is to consider why not- and whether we should try some other experiment before figuring out whether we've missed some other crucial element. The tragedy is that the hot dog stand proprietor you mention may have some good insights in this respect but those in the corridors of power are interested in her vote, not her ideas.
"Givernment" - ROFLMAO! Google has no hits, congratulations on your new portmanteau!
