Your note did not specify if you were installing on Windows '95 or NT although that should not be an issue (NT 3.51 does exhibit some weird behavior with respect to OCX's). However, to register any OLE control you should be able to do it from DOS by typing in regsvr32 followed by the name of the ocx including the extension. The system will respond with a success or fail message. If it fails the ocx may be corrupt or the file is not found. You should also be aware that in addition to the ocx file, you also require mfc40.dll and msvcrt40.dll, both of which need to be registered.

Hi Alan, thanks for response. My application will be installing on Win95 only. I've try to register the OCX manually using RegSvr32, but it give "unable to load 'mscomm32.ocx'" I thought it's used to register .DLL only not .OCX, but I think this is not true. I'm sure my .OCX is exist and not corrupted. Can Setup wizard do the registration for us during installation if I distribute the .Ocx .Dll & regsvr32 together will my apllication. BTW, I'm using VFP 3.0 on Win95. TIA.
