I won't go into definitions, but I know many who most people would call stupid, but who are smart. One of them has problems telling you how much money you have left if you start with 100 dollars, and buy something which costs 20 dollars. Still he started and runs a company with more than 100 employees. He is smart enough to see his own shortcomings, and has hired people to fill his own gaps, so to say.
Equally I have a close relative who is extremely intelligent, meaning hi IQ, but who has to make a drawing to himself when he connects a single pole switch for a wall lamp.
