Some companies don't seem to care if their technology is obsolete or not as long as it's stable and cheap. I had a gig for a while in FL that always wanted to be behind tech-wise because a) all the kinks had been worked out and b) they didn't want to invest $ in new technology when the old stuff was working just fine. As of last year they were still doing their accounting on an as/400 system.
