>Where do I start?
>I've read Hacker's Guide, and The Pro's Talk, and What Every Programmer Should Know About Object-Oriented Design. I've got a few titles on my wish list (Hentenwerke stuff and others), but I recognize that I don't learn best just from reading (and I read slow).

I guess that means I'm looking for your insight and guidance. If your open for book recommendations, I don't think anyone here will disagree that Code Complete by Steve McConnell is a necessity. I have read many books about programming, but none of them has had the impact that Code Complete has. Just look at how many other books, articles, lectures reference it. I have read many articles from other authors that were obvious direct re-hashing of the points the author just read in Code Complete. Buy it. Read it. Live it :)
Also, if your project is large and involves multiple developers and LOTS of design, pick up The Mythical Man Month.
