Novell provides some FREE SDK's. Sign up on their site as a Novell Developer and you can download a SDK of ActiveX controls to access much of the NDS.

I played with these about a year ago but the company bought NetLib. If you use the controls make sure you have at least File Console Operator rights in hte beginning. If not, you will be broadcasting error messages all over the network for securty violations.
