I don't think I explained it well enough.

Basically I never have a purpose for button 2 (view the map of this thread starting from this message only in the above frame) until I first use the Previous button.

The suggestion is to make a button that essentially combines these 2 actions titled:

View map of this thread starting at parent of this message in the above frame.

I was just curious if anyone else would find this useful. I realize you can't add every request from every user otherwise the interface would have a thousand buttons.
