Please ignore my lower response. I'm becoming convinced fast that my READING needs a kick in the a**! I'll really have to be much more careful from now on!
Sorry,
Jim N
PS I (still) think that the real reason Quebec is excluded is the PROVINCIAL law requiring a contest organizer to fill out governmental forms and to pay some kind of token "tax". Most companies seem to consider this just too much of a hassle.

>Ok, isn't me or I've seen an improvement in this year's Visual FoxPro Excellence Awards Contest for the upcoming DevCon?
>
>As per point 7, known as Eligibility, they have now extended their contest to additional countries. Point 7 goes like this, as written on Microsoft site:
>
>7. ELIGIBILITY
>
>Award Program is open to legal residents of the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, Ireland, and New Zealand (void in Puerto Rico, Quebec, and where prohibited by law) who are 18 years of age or older at the time of application. Microsoft Corporation, and its subsidiaries, licensees, agents, and advertising and promotion agencies, and contest sponsors, judges, and employees and the immediate family members (and those living in the same household) of the entities listed above are not eligible.
>
>We can now see the addition of United Kingdom, Australia, Ireland and New Zealand. But, which one is still missing? The last time, they told us that a 3 months preparation wasn't enough to allow Quebec residents to participate. It's gonna be interesting to hear the reason this year.

>IAC, it's good to see the addition of those countries. If I remember correctly, they were some pretty good applications that were not allowed to be submitted which will be able to now.
