LOL. What translation is that? Must have been the same colloquial one used by Huxley. Whereas mine is a dusty old academic original.

Not that it matters: both translations seem to show a disparity between the author's intent and that of the popularly snipped portion. Perhaps we can agree that the likes of Obama would not agree with the Inquisitor that freedom and having enough to eat are mutually exclusive, or that people are incapable of sharing fairly. I can think of others much more likely to agree with that premise.
