Don't think like that, Craig. I am not going to get preachy but it really is just a game. The success of the so-called mid majors has been a boon for college sports. I love it when teams like BYU and Butler in basketball and Boise and TCU in football break through to the top.

Wisconsin's my team and my alma mater, that's all. They weren't nearly this good then. And there was no Jump Around. The spirit was the same but it was different.

One thing I can say without equivocation is I love Madison and the people of Wisconsin. My daughter Emily is one of them now. She called me last evening during the game. It was the kind of phone call that makes you feel blessed to be a parent. She is having to work hard, really hard, as an Engineering freshman. Her math class -- highest flunk rate of any course at UW-Madison, she said, intended to weed out the engineering majors who are not the cream of the cream of the crop -- is in her mind 24/7. She goes to tutoring sessions Monday through Wednesday evenings, her idea. I told her I think she is doing all the right things. I warned her UW engineering was going to be no picnic and now she believes me. My bet is she will make it through. She is quite competitive underneath the sweet shell.

>The difference is, those teams actually win games, unlike the Aggies, who have them stolen away by freakish plays.

>Once again in the closing seconds, a bizarre play causes the Aggies to lose. Now at three losses by a total of 8 points.
