I found it well worth reading.
TBH I found the early sections on general architecture and design most interesting - probably an indication that I was reading the book for the wrong reasons.

I'm not sure that I learned anything new from the main sections ( II, III, IV) on code construction and organisation - but they did crystallize practices which (I hope :-} ) I use anyway. Also, because the examples and approaches are intended to be language agnostic, some concepts that are important in C#/.NET were missing. For example Interfaces (the use of which I think is hugely important in .NET design) are not really mentioned.

A book based on the same subject matter but written to specifically target .NET projects would be ideal.....

>What do you think of Code Complete? I purchased it, but have not started reading yet. Stuck in an Oracle book right now.

>>Ridiculously warm. I took two days off last week to make the best of it. One day cycling around the Elan dams, one day lying in the sun (reading Code Complete so it wasn't really a day off :-{ ). I think a pint in the sunshine at the local at lunchtime today is also called for.......
