I think that's a fair observation. I remember sitting in on a few Access sessions during one of the Advisor conferences (when they had multiple tracks). They had one session about "data mining". It was effectively a session about VERY basic SQL. I lasted about 10 minutes before leaving. The other sessions were just as basic.
