I was really surprised during the sturm und drang in Wisconsin last winter at how much animosity there was out there toward teachers. Some were calling them "part time workers" because of the summers off, overpaid, etc. I have always respected teachers (by and large) and consider them underpaid if anything. In fact I seem to remember it being said often that in a perfect world teachers would make what athletes and entertainers do.
You're right, it would be a very different looking NFL <g>.
