>How about Bank of America's plan to charge customers 5 bucks a month for having a debit card? Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan: says they have ‘a right to make a profit’. Of course last year I think their profits exceeded 3 billion dollars and they're also cutting 30,000 jobs. This is simply a way of screwing the customers who have the least money. I called them and said if they start doing that I will close my accounts. The response I got was "oh ..this won't effect you sir, so you should not care". I was tempted to close my accounts right then but I will wait until the new fee's on the poorest customers happens. What a bunch of creeps!

Circa 2009 : How about Durbins plan to limit the fee banks can charge merchants for debit card use? How about those of us who pointed out the obvious that the banks will start imposing new fees to make up the difference. I believe the counter argument was "....Nah! We'll show those greedy banks!"

;)

FWIW BofA lost $2.23 billion last year.
