The whole thing clearly stunk to high heaven, though, so it's not that hard to believe. It has also been reported that there were not even any enemy combatants in the area that day, but there were some ununiformed guys who were said to look like special forces.
What did you think of "The Tillman Story"? It's on my list of movies to watch. I do consider him to have been a hero, a word that is wildly overused referring to athletes. I enjoy sports but do not think the ability to throw a football or hit a baseball better than 99.99% of the population makes one a hero.
