Not necessarily - views carry maintenance, there's the dbc contention, and, besides, with views you're letting Fox do things automatically behind your back. With SPT you have much more control. Even in the case at hand, one can check for unchanged fields and omit them from the string - feasible with views, too, but not as easily.
