Barbara,
Thanks for, once again, taking time to help.

Yes, we are working with a new Lexmark printer--no printer codes in the book. We went to Lexmark's site--nothing there. Also talked to Lexmark by voice(!) and we were told that everything we need is in the manual. Well, the only thing in there is how to adjust via the control panel. Sometimes I miss the good old days . . . .

Anyhow, I get the same results on my Panasonic printer at the office, so it's not the printer. It seems there is something, either in VFP or in the Generic printer driver (which I doubt) that is causing the limitation. I just can't imagine what.

Thanks again for your continued assistance.

John

No matter what I seem to do, I can only get 85 characters to print on a line--the rest just disappear. At 10 CPI that would be the correct # of chars. allowed on a line; however, at 12 CPI, I should, obviously, get more. Anything I send @ n, 85 or above does not print. I have tried:
>>
>>SET PRINTER FONT "Courier", 12 (with and without this line)
>>SET MEMOWIDTH 120
