From somebody who had absolutely nothing to do with it, to somebody who had absolutely nothing to do with it? Japan actually refusing the apology shows just how ludicrous the idea is. Apologizing for this act, which ended the most destructive war in history, sends a message about your willingness to use such weapons in the future. Not a smart move in an uncertain world.

I read it all through and still believe the arguments against are stronger but you may disagree...
Whether an apology is in order would depend on whether it was the right decision....
