What is the difference between open the table(s) and modify DE at tun time?
I think:
USE SomeTable IN 0
is simpler than the solution provided.

Believe me sometimes DE is PITA.

BTW there is not necessary to change paths in your DE IF you design forms and have your data stored in such a place where you are sure never existed in your client computer. Then just have SET PATH to the customer's data folder.
