thanks for the offer, I'll see what Marcia says (if you can remember which magazine it came from I may have it already as I believe I have most FoxTalk magazines). I have got Craig's GridExtras already and been looking at it for the Excel export, but for some reason it's not working for me. I've tracked it down to an error that seems to be related to vfpoledb.dll but not looked too hard at it yet.
