>>That has cost me more debugging hours than I like to admit.
LOL, what fun to spend merry debugging hours chasing nasties like that! I mentioned an = example to MB, another recent one in my own work involved integration of some code dating back to 1992 (which IMHO remains one of the main benefits of the Fox: grandpa code still works fine) with a SCATTER MEMVAR against a dbf rather than the correct cursor quietly overwriting a string variable that was in scope for another purpose. LOL. A debug breakpoint on the variable detected that nasty little bug. ;-)
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
