I realize you asked about a phone -
but for me the smartphone sceens are too small for extended reading.
For me for the "portable reader/info center" is a 7' android device,
and I also carry a "pure phone" for that basic need -
although a Samsung Galaxy coupled with a BT Headphone might
change the picture from ridiculous to smart : you can talk and read...
Although I have a now slightly dated E51
with all the usual gimmicks and smarts,
I nearly never need/use those functionalities:
execptions are recreational sports activities like skiing or at beach.
Synching to that phone is seldom but quick
(and needed, as the smarts are usually not at this device).
Don't need radio, camera, music store in my phone,
and almost always when I might want them I carry the 7'.
YMMV

>There is a big discussion right now as to know which phone to buy, thus either the IPhone 4S or the Galaxy S2. I like the Galaxy S2 because it can be seen as a drive from my PC, thus I can download as is videos and photos. With the IPhone 4S, we still have to use this online ITunes interface of whatever. As far as the speed, they confirm both are the same. The Galaxy is a little bit less expensive. So, any comment on which one I should target for?
