Number of apps in the app store is meaningless. How many fart apps do you need? Most people don't use most of what they have. I don't have a need for my phone that isn't provided as part of the OS or through an app.

As for which OS is better, no one can prove "better". Better is an opinion. Since I don't own a Mac and have no plans to get one, I would be using iTunes on Windows. That is not happening.
