Hi,
A customer tells me that I can connect to their SQL Server database from SSMS installed on my PC. They gave me the IP name to their SQL Server (e.g. somename.company.companyname.com). They also gave me my user name and password. When I bring up my SSMS, the window Connect to Server (currently) defaults to my Server Name. How do I "point" my SSMS to that IP (via name)? TIA.
