>>>>Hi,

>>>>I have access to a set of video tutorials from LearnDevNow. Yesterday I was trying to get a feel for the Azure Service Bus usage and came across a 'Service Bus Demo' video on their site, watched the entire thing (for about 15 mins) then went away to try writing my own version.
>>>>Mine wouldn't work :-{
>>>>Whilst browsing around looking looking for more information that might reveal the problem I came across a sample application that is included in the Azure AppFrabirc SDK. The code was identical to that laboriously typed in the LearnDev video - so the guy was obviously sitting there typing in the code from another monitor ( I remember at the time wondering why he was using MS namespaces in his sample).
>>>>Am I wrong in expecting the presenter to reveal some true understanding of the process being discussed rather than just the ability to type? And to add insult to injury you are expected to pay extra to access the source !

>>>
>>>
>>>I went to the Microsoft Azure bootcamp last spring. One of the things I noticed was that the presenters were extremely reluctant to change anything in the samples - the reason was obvious when crashes occurred anytime they did.
>>>
>>>I'm assuming Azure has matured considerably since then. I would not have considered it ready for a public preview release at the time.
>>>
>>>The LearnDevNow video may be that old.
>>>
>>>I've let my LearnDevNow subscription expire in favor of PluralSight BTW. They have a better selection of current technologies and they tend to dig deeper into them.

>>We've just moved one of our production website's database to SQL Azure. Process took about a half hour. We're handholding it right now and have a quick undo button ready, but so far so good.

>I'd be interested to hear how things work out. I originally came to Azure looking at Azure SQL then got side tracked by Azure Table Storage, Blobs, Queues etc, I did push a small DB up to SQL Azure and tried a couple of ways of accessing it. Seemed OK but a pity it doesn't work better with SSMS for example.....

I'm not directly involved with our Azure migration, so I don't have a lot of info. AFAIK, everybody has been happy. Take that for what it's worth.
Very fitting: http://xkcd.com/386/
