So, for the preview module to "know" what page number, say, 200 looks like, it has to create pages 1 through 199 first. This makes sense, given all the variables (not the memory-type, the options type) present when a report is created.

>It happens because the Preview goes through all previous records (pages) before reaches the last.
>When you click on Print Preview toolbar button to show you the last page of report take a look at Report Preview title bar - it will show changing numbers - like: Page 73... Page 151... Page 852 and so on. Each time you move in Preview from the last page ( say page 2538) one page back - it goes through all 2537 pages again.
