>>Hi all -
>>When issuing a COM command to close an excel workbook (oBook.Close) excel now wants to confirm the close which seems to be a new feature MS has added. Does anyone know of a way to avoid the confirm message so the program will just keep going ?

I wish I had read that earlier in the week. At work I had to go through the pain of processing a number of Excel spreadsheets through a VFP program. As we all know, VFP and Excel have had a stormy relationship. (Too bad they don't come from the same vendor ;-) ) The program uses Excel automation and error messages kept popping up on test runs if the previous output file was still there. SET SAFETY OFF had no effect, of course, since the message box was coming from Excel, not VFP.

Forwarding this to myself at work in case I find myself in this position again.....
