I've used VPC, it works fine. A client purchased several new PCs, all of which had W7 64bit installed. Although VPC worked without a problem, the added "complication" for unsophisticated users (not a put down, they know their jobs) created other problems, After a couple weeks I installed XP on the new machines and now life continues without any new and unnecessary problems. One of the issues I recall was that the USB port was shared between VPC and the host which caused the backup to encounter problems (easily resolved - for me). OTOH, never had those issues with XP so that was/is the answer.
