>>>Hi,
>>>
>>>I used to listen to Internet radio (XM) and watch tv news on this computer (Windows 7 64-bit 4 GB). But I was not doing any kind of development on this PC. Now I moved all my development to this PC (mostly VFP 9). Do you think that using Internet radio or tv on this PC will slow down the VFP 9 or could cause some adverse effects? TIA.

>>I do it all the time. Doesn't seem to make a performance issue.

>>FWIW 4 Gig RAM on a 64 bit machine is fairly marginal. I'd add more if possible. 64bit thrives on memory.

>I was thinking the same. When I bought this PC (about 3 years ago) I thought 4 GB would be huge. But now I hear that for 64-bit 8 GB would work much better. I will call DELL to see what it would take ($$) to upgrade. Thank you.

Dell will be expensive.

do a google search for your make and model number and the word MEMORY and you'll get lots of options for 3rd party memory.
