Jane,
Eric is correct, VALID DATA is perhaps the best solution at this point. If you want I may be able to help you determine what went wrong in the first place. If so, how did you initially "remove" the tables from the database?
>I started a new project & created a new database. I then added tables to it. What I didn't realize was that they stayed in their original directory instead of the directory for the database. I wanted the tables to be in the directory for the database so I removed them from the database Then I copied the tables (not in VFP) to the project directory. Then I thought I could add the tables. I get a message stating that that table is already in the database. Then I removed the database from the project (it showed that it had no tables in it.) Then I tried to add it back & got a message that it was invalid. How can I get this tables and database back in the project?
