I have a client that just recently updated their workstations to Win 7. They also have a Win 2008 server.
Here's the problem:
Two people can login and open the DBC and DBFs but when the 3rd person tries they get the message "File is in use by another user". It happens on a different file when tried repeatedly. The files are being opened by a call to Stonefield Database Toolkit which displays what dbf is being opened.
We had already turned off SMB2 on the Win2008 server to avoid data corruption. We also disabled oplocks on the workstations. What might we need to do to the workstations or server?
This application is working at more than 400 other client installs but they are not using all Win7 workstations and a Win2008 server. They are either stand alone without a server or they're using WinXP with a Win2008 server.
Has anyone else had this type of problem?
