I have been working with JQM since the first alpha release about a year ago. It does work quiet well accept for page transitions on some phones. It is supposed to work across most phones but it does have a few issues with WP7 (much better now that is has IE9) and a log of issues with Blackberry. Just remember it is still a web app so it will not work if you have to run in a disconnected environment.
