I was tooling along making quite a few modifications to a report when out of the blue it started receiving an error on initialization immediately after the "DO REPORT FORM . . ." statement and before anything is displayed, with the Program Error dialog reading "Unrecognized command verb". When the debugger is running the Trace window displays a line from the .frx file with the Object identified as dataenvironment.init.
If I ignore the error the report continues successfully, either to the screen or printer, whichever is selected. Not being a report guru, all I can say is it appears to be something that has slipped in to the report somewhere in an area not normally traveled by me, or intentionally my fingers.
While debugging I step by step eliminated all the fields in the report and all the "On Entry" and "On Exit" procedure calls to the point it was printing a page of blank paper, yet the error persisted. By now if I had taken the sure fire, time consuming, path and restored the .frt and .frx from backup and redid my changes everything would be fixed - a long time ago.
I'm stumped and ready to start doing again what took me a couple of hours to accomplish the first time around.
