Oil is a commodity sold on the worldwide market. Domestically produced oil is marketed as West Texas Intermediate (WTI) light sweet crude and is priced the same as oil produced in the mideast. By way of comparission, Brent crude, from the North Sea is presently trading around $11 higher than WTI.
