A minor caveat. Clinton was a good president once he lost the House and Senate in 1994. That resulted in him pivoting towards the center and governing with the opposition party to affect major important changes. Though he left us in recession, it was minor and we would move quickly through it thanks in large part to him not getting in the way of the economy.
