>In SQL Server 2000, is it possible to tell autogrow to happen during a particular period of time (after normal office hours for example) rather then when ever it wants? I'm assuming it detects the need to grow, and just does it rather than detects and schedules.

If you are worried about performance, then I would set up the database file to the maximum you want to allow it to grow and disable auto-growth.
