>The database is about 32 gigs, and the grow is set to 10%. It has done the grow during the day, once this week (today) and the lastweek. It is taking enough time, that it has recently become noticeable. I'm thinking about changing the growth amount to a higher percentage to at least reduce the number of times it kicks in.

>>I don't think so, and I think you might be prematurely optimizing this. IMO, you should wait until there is evidence of a performance issue, and then manually set the size to a high number at that point.

You could set it up to grow with fixed size instead of percent.
Set it to grow with 10,20 MB or whatever size you want at a time.
