got it to recognize (and find) msvcr70.dll when it dawned on me that the machine I'm trying to run it on doesn't have the VFP8 runtime librarys, so I tried to do the 'down and dirty' move the .dll's into the shared directory and register them and when I try regsvr32 VFP8R.dll it tells me it can't find the .dll. even when I'm sitting in the directory the runtimes are in. Very frustrating.
Right at the moment I'm trying to locate a copy of Installshield or something like.
>Does the app use any third party Activex controls? My app uses some from dbi-tech and it needs that particular dll and MSVCR71.dll. I would suggest using an install program like Installshield to test for all related dependencies because I've noticed these tend to run it packs. Also, what happens when you do a regsvr32 [path]\msvcr70.dll [/u]?
