I want to listen (actually record on my PC via a program Total Recorder) sound coming into the Mic jack. Basically I am playing a cassette tape and plugged the cord from the cassette tape player into the Mic jack. If I go to the properties of the MIC ( sound -> recording ) I see the line going up and down so the sound does come in. But I can't hear it in the PC speakers. I have been looking at other settings but can't find where this is controlled. That is, how do I make the sound coming into the MIC play in the speaker?

TIA.

UPDATE: Found a setting in my Total Recorder program that allows me get the sound directly from the MIC input. Which is even better.
