My gut feeling tells me that trying to combine FRX/FRT formatting with raw printer codes won't work. It's likely that the rendering engine for FRX/FRT will use its own interpretation of non-printable characters rather than "passing through" those codes intact. If you want to use raw printer codes, it's probably best to do everything from that standpoint -- i.e. render report completely in raw printer codes (it's doable -- I've done some programs that way -- the downside of course is that you end up with stuff that only works with specific printers).
