>I've been thinking about this this morning. Who invented the zero based approach, which applies to a lot of things in several development environments, including, among others, .NET. This is always a waste of time trying to understand/find which one applies to a specific component. I mean, when I start counting, I start at 1, right? lol

I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but I was thinking about this during a walk.

Say you wanted to draw a line from the left side of the screen to the right side of the screen.

Wouldn't the far left have x = 0?

That is, unless you'd make the origin of a 2D grid 1,1.

But you wouldn't.

So 0 is necessary.

And, back when memory was a luxury, why waste the 0?
