Chuck (via Ed (copying JohnK's idea)),

I agree with Ed's statement but offer a word (or few) of caution. . . VFP is *VERY* siginficantly different from FP 2.6. I've had it since 3.0 (the first) and while admittedly I have been doing other work since then, so have not given it my full attention, the *LEARNING CURVE* is ***STEEP***. This is amplified because of the quality of the documentation.
Be ready to read FAQs till the cows come home, use MS KnowledgeBase and the one here on UT extensively, and give yourself TIME to get up to speed.

This can be countered (to the boss) by telling that *any* *NEW* language will have such overhead, and you have some head-start with VFP becuase at least 99% of the "old commands" are supported. Some of those old commands have enhancements too, most of which are very very useful.

Good luck,

Jim N

>You can answer strong 'Yes' on all questions. If you need additional VFP info for your boss, then go to MS VFoxpro page and print out it from there.
